Hello everyone,
Welcome to my first blog post! My name is Carmel Foster, and I’m thrilled to have you here as I embark on this journey to raise awareness for kidney disease. This cause is incredibly close to my heart, and I want to share my story with you, hoping it inspires and educates others.
Why Kidney Disease?
Kidney disease is often referred to as a “silent killer” because many people don’t realize they have it until it’s too late. In fact, 9 out of 10 people with kidney disease don’t even know they have it. I am one of those people, navigating through life without knowing if my kidneys are healthy. This uncertainty became a harsh reality for me when I lost my mum to kidney disease at the young age of 58. Her battle was one that too many people face without the support and resources they need.
My Mission
In honor of my mum and countless others affected by this disease, I’ve decided to take action. I am participating in the 37-Mile Challenge for the American Kidney Fund to raise both awareness and funds for this vital cause. My goal is to reach $200, and with your support, I know we can achieve it and make a difference.

- Donate: Every dollar counts. Your contribution will help provide resources, research, and support for those battling kidney disease.
